ABOUT THE PROJECT:
IN 2009, my husband and I moved to Hyogo prefecture, Japan. Kobe is the capital city and has a large expat population. CHIC is an organization committed to meeting their needs. They hired me to design a 280-page English-language guidebook for foreign residents living in the Kobe area. Topics covered included common phrases and vocabulary, navigating the grocery store, what to do in case of emergencies, maps of local businesses, and more.
